Targeting
Targeting
These Keywords will express which Enemies are Targeted by Spells. Most Spells have a type of Targeting effect that is denoted by a specific keyword within the Spell's effect description. Without a keyword, you can expect the Spell to be cast with a Targeting Arrow, allowing you to choose who takes the attack directly. Otherwise, words like Random, All, Front, and Rear will denote where the attack will be thrown. You can view Enemy Compositions in Combat at the Bestiary when viewing individual enemy pages to see which enemies sit at which position.
Adjacent
Enemies on either side of the main target are also affected.
Note that this Keyword is matched with a Targeted Effect, which has no direct keyword.
All
Each enemy on the board is affected.
If there is only one Enemy on the board without a determined position, you can expect this effect to hit them.
Front
Affected enemy is positioned closest to the Wizard.
If there is only one Enemy on the board without a determined position, you can expect this effect to hit them.
Random
Affected enemy is chosen at Random.
If there is only one Enemy on the board without a determined position, you can expect this effect to hit them.
Rear
Affected Enemy is positioned furthest from the player.
If there is only one Enemy on the board without a determined position, you can expect this effect to hit them.
Targeted
Affected Enemy is chosen directly by the player using an arrow targeting mechanic upon casting.
Note that this effect is without a specific Keyword. Most Targeting Spells without a Keyword will use the arrow for direct targeting.
X Targets
Choose X Targets directly to receive spell effect where X is the amount notated in the Spell's description.
The amount of Targets you are allowed to choose will be notated by a numerical value in the Spell's Description.
