Health Effects

 Health is perhaps the most valuable resource of the game.

•  Health: The Wizard has a Green  Health Bar below them which represent the amount of  Damage they can take before they're defeated.
• Defense Spells: These  Spells are used to  Block incoming  Damage, reducing  Health Lost from enemy attacks and abilities.

This effect replenishes any lost  Health up to current Max.
Below compiles all the different ways you can Heal yourself and raise your Max Health to survive until the Final Boss is defeated.

Sanctuary

• While at a Sanctuary Node, the Temple choices allow you to pick one method to receive Healing.
  • 0  Gold for 10  Health
  • 25  Gold for 25  Health.
  •  Disenchant a Spell for +8 Max  Health, which Heals you for 8 Health as well.

Boss Battles

• Defeating a Boss Encounter will reward you by healing 50% of your Max Health.

Artifacts

•  Bowl of Holy Water: Gain +15 Max  Health, which Heals you for 15 Health as well.
•  Phoenix Pendant: Heal 5  Health after completing each Combat encounter.
•  Lifeblood Vessel: Start of combat: If 50%  Health or less~ Heal 10  Health.
•  Lifedrinker: Cast 10 Attack Spells; Heal 4  Health.
•  Life-Skein: When rolling a die valued at : Heal 1 hit point.
•  Rod of Resurgence: When entering a Boss Battle: Heal 20  Health.

Potions

•  Vampire Essence: Gain 1 stack of  Lifesteal: Heal for 20% of unblocked  Damage dealt from Attack Spells for one turn.

Rituals

•  Lifelock: Gain  Vitality: Heal 1  Health for  Health Lost this turn. Roll a die Enchanted with  Wound.

Below is a list of  Spells that will grant healing through conditional effects.

Fire

• Bloodward: Gain 4  Block. If the spent die has  Wound: Heal 2  Health.
  • Starter Spells do not have upgrades.

• Cauterize: Gain 12  Block.  Wound next die rolled.
  • Upgrade A: If a  Wound die is spent to cast: Add 1 Restorable Charge to Cauterize.
  • Upgrade B: If Wizard has 50%  Health or less: Heal 4  Health.

• Convalesce: Heal 4  Health. Unrestorable
  • Upgrade A: Gian 4  Block.
  • Upgrade B: Increase base  Health gained by 2 for a total of 6.

• Extract: Deal 14  Damage to Target enemy. If  Lethal: Heal 4  Health.
  • Upgrade A: Increase base  Damage Dealt by 6.
  • Upgrade B: Increase  Health gain when  Lethal by 4, for a total of 8.

• Fickle Barrier: Gain 4  Block.
  • Upgrade A: If the player has 50% or less  Health: Heal 2  Health.
  • Upgrade B: Convert Mana Socket to  Countdown Socket.

• Sap Lifeforce: Deal 5  Damage to Target enemy. Heal  Health equal to unblocked  Damage dealt.
  • Upgrade A: Hits All enemies. Increase  Countdown cost from 8 to 12.
  • Upgrade B: Increase base  Damage dealt by 4.

There are Spells and Items which provide conditional effects when losing  Health.
This effect triggers when the player's Hit Points are reduced from any source.

Fire

• Flame Storm: Deal 6  Damage to a Random enemy 4 times.
  • Upgrade A: On  Health Lost: -2  Countdown cost for one cast.
  • Upgrade B: On Dice  Destroyed: -3  Countdown cost for one cast.

• Leech: Deal 2  Damage. For each  Health Lost: Increase  Damage by 2 this combat.
  • Starter Spells do not have Upgrades

• Reclamation: Gain 6  Block. On  Health Lost: Increase  Block of this spell by 1 for the remainder of this combat.
  • Upgrade A: Increase  Block of Spell by 2, instead.
  • Upgrade B: Increase base  Block gained by 4.

• Vindictive Strike: Deal 12  Damage to Front Opponent. On  Health Lost: -2  Countdown of this Spell for one cast.
  • Upgrade A: Increase base  Damage from 12 to 18.
  • Upgrade B: Increase  Countdown reduction by 3 for a total of -5.

Artifacts

•  Dilapidated Crown: For each 2nd time that Health is Lost: Gain 1  Power. Counter Persists between combats.
•  Skjoldur: On  Health Lost: Gain  Delayed Block equal to  Health Lost.
•  Sunweave Cloak: On  Health Lost: Gain 1  Banefire.

Rituals

•  Crisis Orb:
  5 : Gain 20  Block
  On  Health Lost, +1 .
  
•  Lifelock :
  1 : Roll 1  Wound  Dice valued or .
  2 : Roll a  Wound  Dice. Gain  Vitality.

There are Spells and Items with effects that cause Health loss, but some can be used to your advantage when mixing with "On  Health Lost effects.

Fire

• Blood Vortex: Roll 3  Dice. Lose 3  Health.
  • Upgrade A: Reduce Health loss by 2, for a total of 1.
  • Upgrade B: Gain 3  Power.

• Burning Both Ends: Deal 3 times  Damage to Target enemy. Lose 3  Health.
  • Upgrade A: Increase  Damage multiplier to 5 times .
  • Upgrade B: Reduce  Health Lost from 3 to 1.

• Volcanic Power: Lose 2  Health. Gain 1  Power for each  Dice Spent.
  • Upgrade A: Increase  Power gained for each Dice Spent by 1, for a total of 2.
  • Upgrade B: Reduce Health lost by 2, for a total of 0.

Potions

•  Shadepower Vial: Roll 4  Dice. Lose 4  Health.

Some effects will affect the Enemy's Health, essentially making it more difficult to survive during combat encounters.

Enemy Abilities

•  Lifebond: When Enemy loses  Health: Deal  Damage to Wizard equal to  Health Lost.
•  Sanguine: Enchant the first die rolled each turn with  Blood.
  
  •  Blood: When spent in Spell: Heal a Random enemy for  Health where X is the value of the enchanted  Dice.
    

There are other in-game effects which make it more difficult to keep yourself healthy.
Below compiles a list of adverse effects which would provide either additional effects in exchange or to bank a higher score on Victory.

Void Mutators

• Fragile: Start with X% less max  Health.
• Irrecoverable: Reduce non-combat Healing by X%.
• Penance: Lose X Max Health when collecting a  Spell.
• Vitality: End of each turn: Heal most damaged enemy for X  Health.
